YESTERDAY ON GOOD MORNING AMERICA

Yesterday on Good Morning America Diana Sawyer asked Alan, Joanna, Kirk and Tracey if they knew the words to "As Long As We Got Each Other". The 4 of them managed to pull off a accappelle version of it. I made a mp3 file of just them singing. I am going to have to keep a eye on the bandwidth I have left. Please... Right Click and Save the file to your harddrive. If you continuely play it from the filemanager it will eat the bandwidth I have rather quickly. Please don't hotlink it. If that happens I will never do this again. Once my bandwidth is gone the site will be unviewable for the remainder of the month.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRK!

Today is Kirk's birthday. He is 34 years old.
Happy Birthday Kirk from all of us at The Growing Pains Archive

Something I was thinking about....

You ever think about things before you fall asleep? Well Sunday night I did the math and realized if I added one episode to the episode guide per month I will be doing this for almost 14 years!!!! So I am going to change the plan of one per month. They do take quite a bit of time to make. The Face, Places and Facts section (should have explained this earlier) is actual things taken from the episode. References made to people, places or actual events that are not fictional. I thought some of you might enjoy going a bit deeper into the episode. A very close friend of mine in Europe had no idea what Halloween was. It is a holiday not celebrated there. I like to learn something new everyday. Sometimes it is the smallest trivial thing but it is still something new. Perhaps some of you are like that also. Maybe the additional links in Faces Places and Facts might come in handy for that. Ok got to run...

Episode Of The Month

This is something new. However it is going to come with a long introduction. (sorry) Some of you may remember awhile back I mentioned that there was no complete episode guide for Growing Pains. I wanted to completely list every detail I could think of for each episode. This is gonna take alot of time. I decided to do one a month and name it "The Episode of The Month" (how original is that??? ha ha please don't hate me for my bad jokes).

What I didn't like about other episode guides and even the Internet Movie Database is they only list the stars. What about the little guy? What about the person who makes sure Kirk's hair was perfect. The person who made sure the audio sounded good. Normally these are people who have dedicated their lives to their craft. The way I understand it is you don't end up on the production staff of a television show as easily as you get a job at McDonalds. I have said it before and I will probley say it again. The magic of Growing Pains was the work of everyone involved. Not just the people we saw on tv.

Some of you might not agree with me and that is fine. However, being a photographer and knowing how hard you have to work to get anywhere in the business I feel it would be criminal of me to not include all of these people.

Without further ado I present to you what I feel a episode guide should look like. What I wanted "The Archive" to stand for.

Halloween pts 1 & 2

By the way, I started with the Halloween episode since it is October. The rest will not be in any particular order. Which ever one I feel like adding but remember I do take requests.
